Anita Ryan

Anita Ryan is the Global Chief Human Resources Officer at Ulta Beauty, the largest specialty beauty retailer in the United States with over 1,400 stores and a rapidly growing e-commerce platform. Named to the role in April 2022, she was the first female CHRO in the company's history and oversees all human resources activities including talent acquisition, total rewards, diversity, equity and inclusion, associate relations, compliance, and training. Anita also leads strategic internal communications and community relations programming, including the Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation. With over 23 years at Ulta Beauty, she has held increasingly senior leadership roles and is recognized for fostering an inclusive workplace and inspiring the company's diverse talent base. Prior to her CHRO appointment, she built deep expertise in onboarding, succession planning, employee relations, and HRIS across the organization. Anita is based in the Chicago metropolitan area and operates from Ulta Beauty's headquarters in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
